About the course
Through this four week course, Søren and Birgitte will give you the tools to build the habit of a regular meditation practice. They will do so from an entirely performance-free approach to meditation, with disregard to any “right way” of meditating. The goal is to find a way that works for YOU!
ABOUT THE COURSE - WHAT YOU GET:
FOUR WEEKLY SESSIONS AS A GROUP:
In each of these 2hour sessions taking place at Rört, Søren and Birgitte will give you new meditation techniques to explore the following week. We work together on finding a way of meditating that actually works for you, we talk about the philosophy of meditation and give time for questions, guidance and reflections. In short, we collectively explore how to integrate meditation in a meaningful way in the modern life.
DAILY ONLINE MORNING MEDITATIONS
(Monday to Fridays over 4 weeks):
Alongside the group sessions, you can build your daily meditation-habit online with the Rört community, as Birgitte and Søren offers optional, live drop-in meditation on Zoom every day (Monday to Fridays)between 6.30 and 7.30.
During the corona lockdown, Rört offered daily online meditations that served both to sustain a mindful practice and kept a community of people connected through hard times. It will be exactly that sense of community-support we tap into with these online sessions. You can drop in each session when it suits you and sit with the group anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour and take breaks as you need, making these sessions suit your schedule in the best possible way.
TWO EXPERIENCED TEACHERS
The presence of two experienced meditation teachers offers a chance to get direct and personal support. This helps you integrate a personalized practice into your everyday life, with the ambition for you to leave the course with a firmly rooted, regular practice.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS:
Søren and Birgitte, will be sharing their inspiration from two different Buddhist lineages, whilst both drawing from their professional, psychological backgrounds.
Birgitte Myoin Gorm is a psychologist (PhD), yoga teacher and Zen monk bringing 3 decades of practice into her work. Her style is informal, light-hearted and based on sharing rather than teaching. She began practicing Tibetan Buddhist meditation as a teenager in 1992 with Lakha Lama Rinpoche and has been in dedicated Zen training with her teacher Genpo Roshi since 2013.
Søren Filskov Jakobsen is a soon-to-be-psychologist, specializing in couples therapy, teaching non-dogmatic meditation, rooted in Mindfulness. Integrating his love for Buddhism with a psychological approach to our inner lives, he loves teachings and guidings on stillness, compassion and self love and acceptance. He holds a decade’s worth of regular meditation practice, and has long practiced in the tradition of Plum Village - as established by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh - having lived at their monastery in France at length.
